Attacking it with is an action applying to two things. Understand "attack [something] with [something preferably held]", "hit [something] with [something preferably held]", "break [something] with [something preferably held]", "crack [something] with [something preferably held]", "destroy [something] with [something preferably held]", "fight [something] with [something preferably held]", "kill [something] with [something preferably held]", "thump [something] with [something preferably held]", "wreck [something] with [something preferably held]" as attacking it with.

Carry out attacking it with:

say "Violence isn't the answer to this one.".

Instead of attacking the player, say "That must be the worst route to suicide."

Instead of attacking the player with something, try attacking the player.
