Section 6 - The Waste Ducts
The Waste Duct is down from LabTwo. "Dirt formations cover the walls of this steel duct, running under the laboratories and the high corridor. An ancient stench of death fills your nostrils. Above your head, a steel grate clogs the exit. The duct continues west." It is in the Waste Area. It is not apparent.
Before going to the Waste Duct, now the Waste Duct is apparent.
The steel_grate_two is scenery in the Waste Duct. It is an enterable container. The printed name is "steel grate". The description is "It holds on heavy hinges. You can pull it open and exit up."
Instead of inserting something into the steel_grate_two, say "The holes in the grate are too tiny. It looks like a waste of effort, anyway." Understand "steel/grate" as the steel_grate_two.
Instead of closing the steel_grate_two, say "It is closed already."
Instead of opening the steel_grate_two:
say "You push the grate open and get out of the duct.";
now the player is in LabTwo.
Instead of going up from the Waste Duct, try opening the steel_grate_two.
Instead of entering the steel_grate_two, try opening the steel_grate_two.
Instead of pushing the steel_grate_two, try opening the steel_grate_two.
Every turn when the player is in the Waste Duct for the first time:
record "The Dweller" as achieved.
Waste_center is west of Waste Duct. "Dirt formations cover the walls of this steel duct, running under the high corridor. An ancient stench of death fills your nostrils. The duct continues east and west." It is in the Waste Area. The printed name is "Waste Duct".
Waste_west is west of Waste_center. "Dirt formations cover the walls of this steel duct, running under [if the Power Control Room is visited]the power control room and [end if]the high corridor. An ancient stench of death fills your nostrils. The duct continues east. Above you, an opening leads into a dimly lit area." It is in the Waste Area. The printed name is "Waste Duct".
