Section 10 - The Forebridge

The Forebridge is northwest of the northwest door. "An[first time]other[only] hexagonal chamber, this time rather larger than the previous ones. A set of lounge chairs dots the place, each of the seats resting empty in front of a terminal. To the north, a four-by-two-meter screen almost entirely covers the wall. This is [if the Forebridge is not commented]probably [end if]the main bridge of the ship."

Some lounge chairs are scenery in the Forebridge. They are an enterable supporter. Understand "chair/seat/seats/lounges" as the lounge chairs. They are ambiguously plural. The description is "The many chairs, more than a dozen, are each facing a different console, as would suit any regular ship commanding bridge."

Instead of taking or pushing or pulling the lounge chairs, say "The lounge-chairs are all riveted to the ground."

Instead of turning the lounge chairs, say "You spin one of the chairs, reminiscent of your games at the campus[first time]. This time, the effort provides no amusement[only]."

Instead of entering or climbing the lounge chairs, say "You don't need (nor have time) to rest."

The big screen is scenery in the Forebridge. The description is "The screen is dark." Understand "ship/blueprint/arcadia/tiny/dots/invisible/line/strange/little/drawing/hundred-legged/spider" as the big screen when the big screen is charged.

Instead of switching on or switching off the big screen, say "You can't seem to find the switch."

Some consoles are scenery in the Forebridge. Understand "terminal" as the consoles. The description is "A series of terminals and consoles[first time]. You can't understand the symbols on their keyboards and screens, you can't understand the purpose of any of them, and you can't understand how to activate them. Enough said[only].[if LOGAN is knowing][paragraph break]LOGAN://'[first time]The terminals were used by the crew to command the ship. I could be an aid to the navigational systems, but Neulanean rules prohibited a computer from ruling a ship, so I could act only if interrogated. [only]I can address you to any important device on the bridge, if you need it -- and know what you are doing.'[end if]".

Instead of switching on or switching off the consoles, say "[if LOGAN is knowing]LOGAN://'The consoles can't be switched on or off, Ektor Mastiff. They are rigged to the mainfraime.'[else]There is no power switch. None evident, anyway.[end if]".

[Before showing the consoles to LOGAN when LOGAN is knowing:

say "LOGAN://'The terminals were used by the crew to command the ship. I could be an aid to the navigational systems, but neulanean rules prohibited a computer to rule a ship, so I could act only if interrogated. I can address you to any important device on the bridge, in case you need it -- and know what you are doing.'";

stop the action.]

Does the player mean entering the lounge chairs: It is very likely.
